In order to help yourself count half steps, you can draw a keyboard or write out the list of half steps: C C#/Db D D#/Eb E F F#/Gb G G#/Ab A A#/Bb B C A4/d5=6 (also known as a tritone, though that is not a specific enough label for naming intervals).The list below shows the quality of the interval and how many half steps it contains. An interval is the measurement of the distance in pitch between two notes.
